Moral of the story, they are THIEVES! They failed to accommodate the clients needs if they're unhappy with the color. They won't compensate you instead they say they won't provide you with services just because you were unhappy with the hair color (keep in mind he took a $60 tip) and charged $355. They took the money and ran for the hills.
I recently discovered Derek after searching for the right stylist to do Balyage for 4 year!!! I always went to other salon and they would leave me orange and not well blended ! My first time going I was takin back by the beauty of the salon!!! Britney (Derek's assistant) was so sweet ! She came over and greeted and proceeded to take me to his chair ... Derek came over with such a bubbly personality and listened to my previous horror hair stories! I quickly gravitated to his personality and instantly felt comfortable leaving my hair in his hands! He truly is an artist... Best haircut I ever had! Whence started blow drying my hair ,I couldn't believe the color!! It was breath taking ! It was a breath of fresh air to finally find someone I can trust.. I'm never leaving him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) highly recommend him or if you can't get in with him . His whole staff is extremely talented!!!
Derek is my hair stylist & i wouldnt trade him for the world ! Hes funny & makes ur precious time there feel like 20 minutes. He hears you out in ideas or different looks if thats what ur headed too - u will not leave disappointed!
I have never encountered such dreadful customer service in my life! I don't think they understand the definition of customer service or how to run a business. Let me tell you why: my friend went in wanting a picture that they both agreed on and came out looking nothing like the picture she asked for, instead the result was white PLATINUM blonde hair. She messaged Derek saying she's unhappy with the color, and they responded with we will try to squeeze you in before the coming Sunday but that she should get used to it. However, after a few texts back and forth they ended their conversation with "you should let your tan fade (which was a natural tan , not a spray tan) and see what you look like". Any professional self respecting establishment that made her pay $415 should accommodate the client and respond to their needs. However, they failed to do so. After no replies to the other texts she couldn't look at her hair anymore so we drove back to the Salon a couple of days later, knowing they weren't going to get back to us since it's already a hassle to take an appointment with them in the first place. Upon arrival my friend asked to speak to Derek or his assistant. Of course they fail to greet you, and decided to take in my friend to "fix" her hair, after failing to do so and not receiving the service she paid for, he asked her to come in with me for my appointment. He decided to text both of us saying he doesn't want to accommodate us anymore, stole her $415 without fixing the mistake he caused and cancelled on me for being there with her. (Which I am thankful for , I would rather keep the hair on my head than see it break off one strand at a time)
If I could give Derek Cash and his assistant Britney no stars I would. He's completely unprofessional in the way he deals with clients and his business for that matter. Unfortunately I had to witness my friend receive backlash from Derek which resulted into damaged, overly bleached, fried hair. I also had an appointment with him that following week.
Extremely unprofessional. I coughed and Derek asked me to leave because he cannot get sick and never called me back after my repeated attempts to reschedule. Very expensive and very hard to get an appointment. He has cancelled on me twice before when I was already at the salon! AND he is a one trick pony. Every job he does looks the same.
I love the Genesis hair salon! Donna was amazing :) I'll be the first person to admit that I'm a very picky customer, and Donna was patient and spent nearly two hours with me, making sure that everything was perfect.
